Moggina Manasu, the controversial film which was earlier awarded an 'A' by the Regional Censor Board of Karnataka, came out with a ‘U/A’ certificate from the Tribunal in New Delhi. Disappointed by the decision of the Regional Censor Board, producer Krishnappa approached the Tribunal seeking a clean chit for his film.
The Tribunal, after taking into consideration the view by the regional officer and the view of the public, reached a decision to award Moggina Manasu a ‘U/A’ certificate. The Tribunal, in the order copy, mentioned that the film is beneficial for teenagers, especially girls.
Producer Krishnappa and director Shashank are content with the decision of the Tribunal. Shashank said that the certificate could have been 'M' meaning Mandatory. The film has a strong message for teenagers and a 'must-see' for them, he declared.
The film, which was supposed to go to theatres three months ago, was postponed due to the chaos it created in the Regional Censor Board and will hit theatres on 17th of this month.
