Cast: Ajay, Sheela, Rangayana Raghu, sitting MLA from Mahalakshmi Layout Ne.La.Narendra babu, Rajesh, Sudha Belawadi, Lokanath, Mico Nagaraj, Tennis Krishna Direction: R. Chandru Music: Illayaraja
In the hang over of his first film ‘Taj Mahal’ success director R Chandru gives a very poor second half in ‘Prem Kahani’ and with a wafer thin subject of rich girl falling in love with slum dweller and dejected poor hero committing suicide is a big bore in the second half.
Sheela is the main stay of this film. Cameraman Chandru occupies a notable position and music maestro Illayaraja has not come up from his ‘Nammura Mandhara Hoove’ times of late 90’s. Maestro is not updated on the current style of film music in Kannada. |

Banner: Arjun Sarja Productions Cast: Chiranjeevi Sarja, Aindrita Ray , Ambarish, Ajay, Sadhu Kokila, Padmaja Rao Direction: Kishore Sarja Production: Arjun Music: V Harikrishna
This is not the right kind of film to launch for the present genre. The lack story and substance in the film looks very pale. Except action scenes handled well by debutant Chiranjeevi Sarja the nephew of Tamil super star Arjun there is nothing to boast. Said to be a remake of Tamil film ‘Sandai Kozhi’ (2005 movie directed by Linguswamy starring Vishal, Meera Jasmine, Lal, Rajkiran) the film produced by actor Arjun in the direction of his brother Kishore Sarja has an outdated and wafer thin story. |

Banner: Sri Ranganatha Swami Productions Cast: BP Srinivas, Shalini, Kashi, Navanith, Maina Chandru, Suma Rao, Ganashri Direction: BP Srinivas Production: BP Srinivas Music: AM Neel
The real life father and daughter romance on screen that created lot ripples has hit the screen with no proper cinema grammar in the making. The role of professor Rao is hopeless and student Pallavi deserved to be better. The costume which she has to wear when she is moving with her boy friend wears when she is moving with the professor. Is this not purposeful or camera angles are like that? |
