Banner: Pavamana Arts Cast: Sudeep, Ananthnag, Saloni, Geetha, Avinash, Doddanna, Rekha, Shobaraj Direction: Sadhu Kokila Production: Kumar, Sriram, Gopalakrishna, Radha Music: Gurukiran
Languishing in the cans for a long time ‘Theertha’ is a terrific film for the contents, acting by lead actors especially – versatile Ananthnag and stylish Sudeep. There is a power and strong dose of sentiment that is also laced with a message on child-parent care. There are a few lilting tunes and cinematography is attractive what makes the film worth watching. |

Cast: Yogish, Meghana Raj, Sharat Lohitashva, Petrol Prasanna, Asharani Direction: H Vasu Music: Manu Mathew
With a worn out subject, director H Vasu losing the nativity elements too, brought in ‘Polladhavan’ remake that is ‘Punda’. The dark night effect that is maintained purposefully throughout the film is what is notable in the film. The trivial issues blown out of proportion are showing us where we stand in cinema making. The protagonist has only two points to fulfill in his life. One is motorbike and the other one his lady love. For this adding masala is a mismatch. What is a hit in Tamil is strain in Kannada version. |

Cast: Radhika Pandit, Ajay Direction: Shashank Production: Uday K Mehtha, Mohan G Naik Music: V Sridhar
The over confident director Shashank has done everything in excess. There is no fine editor in him. He prolongs the film in the second half and takes time to come to the point is the only irking thing about this film. Other wise the elements are good. The redeeming features are some lovely performances, a few good tunes and excellent cinematography. |

Banner: Megha Movies Cast: Shivarajakumar, Padmapriya, Nazer, Asif, Jai Jagdish, Harshika Poonacha, Shobaraj, Sudha Belawadi Direction: Agni Sridhar Production: Syed Amin, Ravindra Music: Sandeep Chowta
In the debut attempt Agni Sridhar an orator and literary personality showed his supremacy in picking a Hindu and Muslim subject. The narration is brilliant and the issue handled is sensible. This kind of film is needed for the close affinity of two major religions of this sub continent. The relevance of the film and matured style of narration that is supported well by the actors and technicians takes the film to the greater heights. This is not just a regional film but caters to the country. In that way the home work of Agni Sridhar is splendid. |

What the highly acclaimed comedians should do when they take up a film on their shoulders? They should give rain of comedy scenes and dialogues with a story line linking finally. This is what missing from ‘Aithalakkadi’ team. The film can only boast of 108 actors working in this film. The film is good in parts and at some places disproves the audience guess. |
