The beginning of the film ‘Thipparahalli Tharlegalu’ is similar to the off screen problems faced by director SV Rajendra Singh Babu in connection to the IDBI loan he acquired for the film.
Rest of the film is a big bore with no logic and lacks substance. The concern shown to black money is appreciable. This is not the Rajendra Singh Babu we have seen in films like Bandhana, Muthina Hara, Hoovu Hannu, Kothigalu, Kurigalu and Kathegalu series of comedy films.

Over enthusiastic director Rathnaja in his third combination with good pal Ajay Gowda as producer has fed in excess for the audience. In the process he consumes more than three hours to say three things in a nutshell – Love, Friendship and Sacrifice.
The brilliance of the director is appreciable but not the consumption of time. Such a long screenplay especially in the summer is a punishment. This flick could have been pruned by half an hour so that it becomes more crisp, tidy and treat to watch. From Nenapirali to Honganasu and now in ‘Premism’ the style adopted by director Rathnaja is quite different although some of the scenes are repetitive for the audience.

There is some unconventional style but on the whole it is not convincing. Director Deepak should know that realistic approach in the narration without any intriguing moment and entertaining values the film cannot fill the cash registers. The need of the hour is what one should know while writing script and screenplay. |

The monotonous first half and absorbing second half ‘Swayamvara’ is heavily inspired from ‘Mujse Shadhi Karoge’ Hindi film. The cinematography, three prominent artist’s lively performance and two good tunes are the passable elements in this film. There are some inconsequential scenes which the director Anantharaju could have avoided in the first half.

‘Dildara’ has a wrong hero Aman who is also the producer for the tolerable subject that tops in the dialogues department. The dubbing done to the protagonist role enhances the dialogues but what to do when the choice of the producer is to himself appear on the screen. He lacks the proper build and looks very ordinary. Dildara has two lovely tunes and cinematography doles out the natural locations that support the concept of the director Amar. |
